Wineberry is a small shrub that resembles a collection of arched vines. The fruit it produces is not technically a berry from a botany standpoint, but any chef will call it one. It is very sweet and can be a delicious snack when you find them out on a hike. Many people like to collect them to make their own wine. However, as delicious as the Wineberry is, the plant is invasive in North America and it completes for space with closely related native raspberries (which are also quite tasty).
