Magnificent Frigatebird

The Magnificent Frigatebird is a common sight throughout the Caribbean and the Pacific Coast of Mexico. They are quite comfortable soaring over the open ocean as they migrate or search for food. The name comes from the fact that in the Age of Sail, they would often make use of the masts of large ships for a respite far from shore.
