Native to Europe, Hairy Bittercress has become well spread throughout the globe. It is a fast growing plant that under ideal conditions can go through multiple generations in a single year. In some places, it can be easily spotted as one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. Though, it is a tiny flower that you have to look closely to see. A relative of mustard and cabbage, it is edible and it a popular choice as a salad green in some places. It is also a popular choice for some butterflies and can be considered an important pollinator supporting plant.
