The Marbled Orbweaver can be natively found in most of the Northern Hemisphere. It is commonly found in North America, Europe, and Asia. It is not locked into any particular kind of environment and can be found both deep into mountain ranges and in costal lowlands. A large and brightly colored spider, it poses no threat to humans and can be safely left alone. The one captured in this photo is a female. The males have much smaller and more oblong abdomens.
