The Red Fox is exceptionally common throughout the Northern Hemisphere. It can be found in North America, Europe, Asia, and even North Africa. Many people think of them as a creature that will only live deep in the woods, but they are quite willing to live in areas much more trafficked by humans. They don’t need much wild space to be comfortable and are good at hiding so most people never see them. This photo was taken firmly into the suburbs of a major metropolitan area where this fox was comfortable prowling around the small amount of greenway provided in the area.
